I don’t know why, but today felt like an exciting day! I got through a lot of work and signed a lot of items off. I also ordered sofas for the dining room and lounge, which just squeezes me into the eight-week window I need to have them there before the client arrives.
I also finished off paying all the lighting invoices, which felt great. This boring little bit of admin let me close off a good chapter in my work.
I have started looking more into carpets as I will need to get antique ones. With COVID it’s not an ideal time to order something that usually comes from far-off countries like India, Peru and Nepal. I don’t see antique rugs for this project though so I will have to get imaginative. Veedon Fleece would have been my preference if the client could have held off for a month or so without a rug.
